Fabrication & Manufacturing

Fab-crop1Precision Machine is able to take your ideas and some of ours and create devices that can offer increased safety, greater productivity and better ways to get the job done. These projects tap into our skills as millwrights, machinists and welders.

Design & Specifications

Whether its simply a picture in your head or a problem you need to solve, we can design the device you need. Computer-assisted drawings help us visualize the final product and identify possible problems or required adjustments before the actual work begins. We focus on avoiding costly errors or reworks and identify safety and operational issues at the start of the process. Completed designs can be engineer certified and meet applicable CSA & safety standards.

Fabrication

Creating your machine or device generally calls upon all of the skills we provide: design, machining and welding. Each aspect is completed by experienced, qualified staff or specialists that have worked with us on other projects. This allows us to accurately estimate both the time and cost of your project and assure that we meet required completion dates.

Testing

Will the new device do the job?

Rigorous testing is usually required both during the build process and on completion to assure that it meets your requirement and will stand up to long-term use. All purchased, manufactured components are inspected for defects or non- compliance to specifications, before assembly. Mechanical parts are inspected as they are built and at the point of assembly. Where possible, devices are given a test run during which they are carefully monitored. Final inspection from a professional engineer is commonly used for safety devices.

Installation

Proper installation is critical when connecting a new device to existing machinery and necessary to meet safety requirements and assure usability. This typically requires leveling, anchoring and accurate alignment. Adjustments to the device are sometimes required to meet high tolerance applications. We complete or oversee connections to air or electrical services that may be required.
